Materials:
- 2 yards of fabric (cotton, linen, or any other lightweight fabric)
- Sewing machine
- Thread
- Scissors
- Pins
- Measuring tape
Instructions:
1. Take your measurements for the dress: bust, waist, hips, and desired length from shoulder to hem.
2. Fold your fabric in half, right sides together, and lay it flat on a surface.
3. Using your measurements, draw out the pattern pieces on the fabric. You will need a front piece, a back piece, two sleeves, and a neck piece.
4. Cut out the pattern pieces using scissors.
5. Sew the shoulder seams of the front and back pieces together.
6. Attach the sleeves to the armholes of the dress.
7. Sew the side seams of the dress, starting from the sleeve hem down to the bottom hem.
8. Fold and press the edges of the neck piece, then attach it to the neckline of the dress.
9. Hem the sleeves and bottom of the dress.
10. Try on the dress and make any necessary adjustments.
And there you have it, a high neck dress that you can wear for any occasion! Feel free to customize the pattern by adding embellishments or adjusting the length and fit to suit your style.
