Materials:
- 4-5 yards of stretchy knit fabric (such as jersey or spandex)
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
- Pins
- Measuring tape
Instructions:
1. Start by measuring yourself to determine the length of the dress and the width of the straps. You will need to measure your bust, waist, hips, and desired dress length.
2. Cut the fabric into a large rectangle that is double the length of the dress you want, and about 2-3 times the width of your bust measurement. For example, if your bust measurement is 36 inches, the fabric should be about 72 inches wide.
3. Fold the fabric in half lengthwise with the right sides facing each other. Sew along the long edge to create a tube.
4. Turn the tube right side out and fold it in half so that the seam is in the middle. This will be the center of the dress.
5. Measure and mark the width of the straps on each end of the tube. Cut the fabric at these marks to create two straps.
6. To wear the dress, place the center of the tube at your bust and wrap the straps around your body, tying or knotting them in different ways to create different looks.
7. Experiment with different ways of wrapping and tying the dress to create different styles, such as a halter neckline, one-shoulder, strapless, or skirt.
This is just a basic pattern to get you started, but feel free to customize the dress to fit your own style and preferences. Have fun experimenting with different ways to wear your infinity dress!
