Kerala People Dresses

The traditional dress of the people of Kerala is known as the "Mundu" for men and the "Settu Mundu" for women. The Mundu is a white cotton cloth that is worn around the waist and draped over the shoulders, while the Settu Mundu is a two-piece garment consisting of a skirt-like lower garment and a blouse-like upper garment.

Apart from the traditional dress, people in Kerala also wear modern clothing such as saris, salwar kameez, and western attire. During special occasions and festivals, women often wear traditional silk saris with intricate designs and men may wear traditional white dhotis with a silk or cotton shirt.

Kerala is also known for its vibrant and colorful festivals, where people dress in traditional attire and adorn themselves with jewelry and accessories. The rich cultural heritage of Kerala is reflected in the clothing worn by its people, showcasing the region's unique traditions and customs.
