Queen of Ethiopia

As of my last update, Ethiopia is a federal parliamentary republic, and therefore does not have a monarchy. The last ruling emperors of Ethiopia came from the Solomonic dynasty, with Haile Selassie being the last emperor. He was deposed in 1974 following a Marxist coup, leading to the establishment of a communist state.

Ethiopia's monarchy has a long and storied history, often tracing its origins back to the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon. The legend holds that the Queen of Sheba, known as Makeda in Ethiopian tradition, visited King Solomon in Jerusalem, and from their union, a son, Menelik I, was born, who became the first emperor of Ethiopia, starting the Solomonic dynasty. However, these stories are more mythical and religious rather than factual historical accounts.

Today, Ethiopia does not have a queen or any royal family in power, as the country is governed by a President (head of state) and a Prime Minister (head of government).
