Fashion dresses

Materials needed:
- 2-3 yards of fabric (depending on desired length)
- Sewing machine
- Matching thread
- Scissors
- Pins
- Measuring tape
- Ruler

Instructions:

1. Start by taking your measurements. Measure your bust, waist, hips, and desired length for the dress.

2. Cut out your fabric pieces. You will need two main pieces for the front and back of the dress, as well as two smaller pieces for the sleeves (if desired).

3. Sew the side seams of the main dress pieces together, leaving an opening for the sleeves if you are adding them.

4. Hem the bottom of the dress by folding the fabric over twice and sewing in place.

5. To create the ruched effect, sew a row of gathering stitches along the side seams of the dress, starting at the waist and ending at the hips. Pull the threads to gather the fabric until you achieve the desired ruched effect.

6. Secure the gathers in place by sewing a few stitches at the waist and hip points.

7. Attach the sleeves to the dress if you are adding them, and hem the sleeves.

8. Finish the neckline by folding over the fabric and sewing in place.

9. Try on the dress and make any necessary adjustments before finishing off all seams with a zigzag stitch or serger.

10. Press the dress to smooth out any wrinkles and your ruched dress is complete! Enjoy wearing your handmade creation.
